Just Jared Exclusive Interview & Shoot!

Jane Levy can be seen in theaters this weekend in the horror film Don’t Breathe, but first you can check out her JJ Portrait Session and interview! The 26-year-old actress is re-teaming with her Evil Dead director Fede Alvarez for the new flick, which has been receiving some stellar reviews and currently holds a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Other projects that you might recognize Jane from include her ABC comedy series Suburgatory and the movie Fun Size. She will soon be seen in Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival series.

Just because Jane is becoming a horror movie vet doesn’t mean she is safe from scares in real life, especially when she has to sleep at home alone. “I’m always convinced someone is lurking in my bushes. And when I’m afraid in real life I become paralyzed… and breathless,” she said.

Jane Levy Interview – JustJared.com Exclusive:

Just Jared: What drew you to do Don’t Breathe?

Jane Levy: I was proud of the work that Fede and I did together on Evil Dead and I wanted to see what else we could do!

JJ: What was the most memorable scene to film?

JL: So many to choose from. Probably the most fun scene for me to shoot was when I’m falling headfirst down the air shaft. I was strung up by my feet and held a black magic camera in my hands pointed at my face and they would drop me about 7 feet. I only wish it were a larger drop! But I guess they couldn’t afford to risk dropping their actress on her noggin.

Jane joins Twin Peaks Showtime Reboot!

After months of speculation, David Lynch today unveiled the entire 217-member cast of Twin Peaks, the Showtime followup to his cult ABC series. The new season, which mixes original and new cast members, has completed filming. Written and produced by series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost, the upcoming Twin Peaks, directed entirely by Lynch, will premiere on Showtime in 2017.

The new installment picks up twenty-five years after the events in the original series that kicked off with the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town of Twin Peaks being shocked by the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer, played by Sheryl Lee who is back for the reboot, joining the only previously confirmed actor, star Kyle MacLachlan, reprising his role as FBI Agent Dale Cooper.

Other actors from the original who are back include Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Mädchen Amick, David Duchovny, Michael Horse, Dana Ashbrook, Miguel Ferrer, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton, Everett McGill and David Lynch. As we previously reported, original co-star Lara Flynn Boyle had opted not to return, making for one of the biggest original cast member no-shows.

‘Office Uprising’: Jane to Slice and Dice Zombies!

From demons to zombies, Jane Levy, who starred in Evil Dead and reteamed with director Fede Alvarez for Sony’s A Man in the Dark, will battle the undead in Office Uprising, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report. Levy joins previously announced Australian actor Brenton Thwaites (Blue Lagoon: The Awakening, Maleficent, Oculus) in the zombie actioneer directed by Steven C. Miller (Aggression Scale, Under the Bed, Submerged, Marauders) from a script written by Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble.

“Office Uprising is set inside one of the world’s leading arms manufacturers where a substance is slipped into the employees’ drinks by the board of directors that supposedly makes them work more efficiently. Due to a slacker within the company, though, they are fed the wrong formula and start turning into homicidal maniacs — leaving the slacker needing to step up his game to rescue himself and his friends from the growing zombie plague inside the company compound.”

The Exchange is selling Office Uprising at the EFM in Berlin.

Jane Cast in CBS Pilot ‘My Time/Your Time,’

“Suburgatory” alum Jane Levy has been cast as one half of the starring couple in CBS’s romantic comedy pilot “My Time/Your Time,” Variety has learned. “How I Met Your Mother’s” Pamela Fryman has also boarded the pilot to direct. “My Time/Your Time” chronicles the relationship of a young couple as they begin dating long distance.

Levy will play Marla, an inherent optimist living in New York City who wants to be a playwright but is having trouble breaking away from a traditional life for the life of an artist. Her on-screen significant other is yet to be cast. Hailing from writer Hilary Winston and “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the potential series is based on the web series “7P/10E” by Avital Ash.

Bays, Thomas and Fryman will all serve as exec producers with Winston, resulting in a “HIMYM” reunion. The pilot is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television. Levy, who also starred in the 2013 pic “Evil Dead” and next will be seen alongside Rob Lowe in “Monster Trucks,” is repped by The Burstein Company, Gersh and attorney Robert Offer.
